OUR LOVE STORY
How we met
Isa and Hayden met their freshman year at King’s High School. Isa was the new girl, adjusting to a new school and new beginnings, while Hayden noticed her right away. Determined to get to know her, he planned to ask her to Winter Ball—and made it unforgettable. On January 14th, as Isa walked up the steps to school, a soccer ball (her favorite sport) rolled to her feet, with the words “Winter Ball 2k19?” She said yes.
That night, they slow danced for the first time, shared a sweet photo booth moment, and Hayden kissed Isa on the forehead—a quiet beginning to something much bigger. In the months that followed, Isa wasn’t quite ready for something serious, and their story almost ended. But one August evening, Hayden came over to say goodbye for good... and stayed for dinner instead.
That night changed everything. They laughed, talked, and truly saw each other for the first time. A few weeks later, on September 18th, 2019, Isa asked Hayden to make it official—and they’ve been inseparable ever since.

Fast forward to
After Isa and Hayden made it official, their love story began to unfold. Throughout their sophomore year, they experienced countless firsts together: their first kiss (ever!), their first holidays side by side—Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Easter—and so many little moments in between. They cheered each other on at games, celebrated sweet sixteen birthdays, and even made it through unexpected adventures… like Isa’s car bursting into flames outside Hayden’s house.
As the years went on, their bond only deepened. They grew together, learned from one another, and fell truly in love. They spent junior and senior year by each other’s side, were crowned Homecoming Prince and Princess, and proudly graduated high school together.
Then came college—and with it, the challenge of long distance. But even miles apart, they chose each other. Through the ups and downs, they learned the power of communication and the beauty of loving from afar. With each year—freshman, sophomore, junior—their hearts only grew fonder. Summers brought them back together, but one summer, before senior year, marked a new chapter. It was time to take the next step… and begin forever.

The proposal
Every summer for the past few years, the Teeter family (and the girlfriends) take a week-long trip to Chelan, WA. But this past summer (2025) was a little different. Little did Isa know, Hayden had a huge surprise planned.
For the first couple of days, they swam in the lake, jetskied, ate delicious food, shopped, played pickleball, and soaked up the sun. A few days in, Hayden told Isa that his dad was planning a surprise dinner for his wife, Megan. Isa didn’t know it then, but the whole “surprise dinner” was actually a setup for her.
On the day he planned to propose, Hayden took Isa shopping and hinted she should buy the dress she really liked. He also had his brother mention driving up to the best viewpoint in Chelan before “Megan’s” surprise dinner. So Isa bought the dress, wore it for the drive up to the viewpoint, and got ready to take photos. (The drive up was terrifying, so her heart was already racing.)
As they started taking couple photos, Hayden began saying all the big things. They both started crying—hard. Hayden went to his brother, Jaxsen, grabbed a ring box, came back to Isa, held her hands, got down on one knee, and asked, “Will you marry me?”
Isa’s eyes filled with happy tears as she answered, “Yes, of course.” He slipped the ring on her finger, and they hugged and kissed. It was the most romantic moment he could have created. Then her best friend, Grace, popped out—she had been secretly photographing everything.
They took more photos, soaked in the moment, and then Hayden told Isa they needed to hurry because they had fancy dinner reservations—for their engagement. At the restaurant, his family met them, and they enjoyed a delicious meal together as fiancés, overlooking Lake Chelan as the sun set perfectly over the water.
It was a perfect day.
